The Governor’s Rock Motel was built on land originally owned by Vermont’s former Governor Jonas Galusha-a farmer, innkeeper, and Revolutionary war hero. Conveniently located on Historic Route 7A which links Bennington and Manchester-the area also known as the Shires of Vermont. This route offers access to a variety of historic and cultural sites as well as easy access to outdoor activities, shopping, and food.”
